(Taken day one of the storm we had about 14 inches at this point)We were wrong. In true Colorado fashion the snow was completely melted off our roads, sidewalks, and driveways by Friday afternoon and by the time Luke took our pumpkins outside for their photo shoot Saturday a majority of the snow in our yard had melted away as well.
We decided to have a laid back Halloween and since Monkey doesn't quite know how much of this holiday revolves around candy we decided to pass on trick-or-treating. By next year she will be 3 and there will be no avoiding it. Now before you call me a Grinch she did have some goodies just not piles of goodies, which ultimately is better for me and Luke than her because we would be the ones eating the majority of what she got.
We took part in a few activities around town on Halloween but decided to lay low and hang around the house that evening. Well, folks last year was not a fluke. We had Zero trick-or-treater's again this year. I am so glad that I didn't buy a big bag of candy bars like I did last year, that ended in a very discouraging test of my will power and ultimately a waste of our money.
We did have a fun photo shoot with our little pet complete with panting, barking and licking. Honestly I am not much of a pet person but I think I will keep this adorable puppy.
And I will even scratch her belly without complaint if that's what she wants.

what a cute puppy!!! Ethan knew exactly what Halloween was this year! haha he talked about it for the whole week before. What a fun age. We only did a small neighborhood and still got way to much candy. So yes, I'm stuck eating it! oooppss... i would just run extra but still getting over this stupid cold. I'm using it for potty training :)
She looks so cute! I love her puppy impersonations. Hubby and B both loved the videos of Monkey playing in the snow. In fact last night B wanted to watch all your FB videos of Monkey. He thinks she is too cute (and of course I do too)! You have one smart girl on your hands.
Woah I have been MIA for 2 weeks but boy has monkey grown in that time. What a cutie, we went down to our little downtown to trick or treat but didnt go out at night, like you Little One didnt know any different so we didn't put ourselves through the trouble:)

I love the puppy costume! I heard about all of that snow. Crazy! It seems so early for that. That is one of the great thing about Colorado though, it can snow and then be gone the next day. In Iowa we look at the same ugly snow all winter!
