What is Evolving Motherhood?

Evolving Motherhood is a lifestyle blog covering a range of topics. Mothering is no easy job and Evolving Motherhood strives to be a great resource for every mom trying to do her best to take care of her family while still taking care of herself. Life, and motherhood, is what you make if it and Evolving Motherhood readers know the power lies in their hands and that very second of every day is a chance to grow and learn.

Who is Catherine?

Hi I’m Catherine, The Evolving Mommy.  I’m so glad you stopped by. I am the lucky mom to two sweet girls, and wife to an amazing guy. The Evolving Family is happily located in Colorado, likes to eat sushi or Indian food whenever possible, and enjoys lazy Saturdays hanging around the house when our calendar isn’t overflowing with things to keep us busy.

I’m not perfect. I’m just working to find balance. Balance between being a mom and being Catherine. Loving to cook and loving to eat out. My sweet tooth and healthy eating. Enjoying a good early morning workout and loving sleep and wanting to be the most perfect supermom ever and just trying to keep my daughters fed and clean. It’s all about balance mixed with a little bit of give and take.

I am by no means a perfect mom, wife, friend, or person for that matter. I sometimes let the TV babysit my daughter so I can get the dishes done or have a few minutes to myself and I tend to avoid the phone whenever possible.  If you are looking to read the thoughts of a “perfect mom who has it all figured out” I may not be your woman, but if you like a little dose of feeling like your life is pretty normal and you are not alone, than you are in the right place. It is my hope with the aid of Evolving Motherhood to continue to grow and evolve as a person, to always strive to be a better mom tomorrow than I am today and to one day find the time to take a nap.

I’m thrilled to take this journey through the jungle of motherhood with you. Hopefully we’ll learn a few things and have a few laughs along the way.
